Eritrean areas in Switzerland, the United States, and Austria solemnly noted Martyrs Day with zealous patriotic eagerness.

The celebratory occasion in the Swiss cities of Geneva, Burn, Basel, St. Galen, Lausanne, Solothurn, Lucerne, Jura and Chur included a walkathon, a candle light vigil, and social and creative programs.
